For most people work has become a big part of their lives.Lets face it ,it's a
place where friendships are born and in some cases it's where romances
blossom.For some it has become a joy to mix business and love.It has its own
advantages especially these days where most people are spending more time at
work.The question is where do you draw the line at work.How do you separate
work from your romance and act professionally.At the office you should
refrain from public displays of affection.Make sure your personal issues don’t
cost the company you are working for when things turn sour or in the event of a break up.Before pursing
the relationship check your company policies and procedures as in some
companies it's seen as a high risk to be
romantically involved with a workmate and it's not allowed.On the disadvantage
side of office romance some people find themselves in a situation where they
have to resign from their jobs after break ups of office romances as the
environment they will be working in has suddenly become uncomfortable.Office
romances must be professional as possible as lacking in that can affect
productivity and results in conflicts.If you can't be professional and can't
separate work from your social life then stir clear from office romances.
When an office romance or fling turns ugly it affects even
your personal brand among your workmates .You may also fall victim to office
gossip and ugly remarks and in some cases you end up resigning.Office romance
comes with many challenges like separating work from home especially if the two
parties take it far as to living
together.it comes with the strain of being together with your partner at home
and at work ,seeing the partner,day in,day out.
